2023 Distinguished Favorite: Independent Press Awards

Women Driven Mobility: Rethinking the Way the World Moves has been recognized as a Distinguished Favorite in the 2023 Independent Press Awards in the Leadership category.

The Independent Press Award was created to help independent publishers gain more attention and to better purvey their content to a larger audience. The award applies a number of criteria in judging a book and are evaluated by varying stakeholders within the book industry, including publishers, writers, editors, book cover designers, and professional copywriters. Books that are recognized as Distinguished Favorite are so competitive in many ways and being recognized as a Distinguished Favorite is a high honor and something about which any author can and should be justifiably proud.

Women Driven Mobility: Rethinking the Way the World Moves was written by Katelyn Shelby Davis and Kristin Shaw as a detailed account of leading-edge mobility projects from across the United States. Women Driven Mobility seeks to bring awareness and inspiration this through a series of case studies that elevates the voices of women working in 11 vital pillars of the mobility industry including awareness and community advocacy, design and engineering, funding, infrastructure, marketing and communications, mobility on demand, placemaking, policy and legislation, sustainability and climate resilience, talent and education, and technology and innovation. Davis and Shaw are award-winning communications and marketing professionals working within the mobility industry.
