Women Driven Mobility Authors to Speak at Sustainable Future Conference in Honolulu

We are excited to share that we are both heading to Hawaii for People, Planet and Prosperity for a Sustainable Future Conference where we will be taking gender equity and accessibility in cities and transportation.

The Intersection of Sustainable and Equitable Mobility

Monday, June 12, 2022 at the Chaminade University of Honolulu

The promise of new mobility that can transform places through equity and accessibility, regardless of income, gender and race. This is already being tested in communities around the country, with programs that focus on innovative new technologies and some that show promise in going back to the basics. This session will explore the intersection of sustainability and gender equity in the built environment, providing case studies from their book Women Driven Mobility: Rethinking the Way the World Moves and doing a deep dive into the A2CES—Accessible, Automated, Connected, Electric, and Shared—mobility future that promotes equity, the environment, and economic opportunity in the United States. The session will also highlight the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and how the SDN framework can serve as a blueprint for communities that are exploring climate resilience and adaptation solutions.
